Alcudia is the hub of one of the most visited tourist
areas on the Island.
To the natural beauty and the artistic treasure of its monuments
must be added the hospitality of the inhabitants.
The Mediterranean light and silence in the semi-deserted
coves, lost corners of pine groves and transparent waters,
but also the possibility of cosmopolitan diversions, visiting
monuments and enjoying festivals
Our visitors can choose those activities which most appeal:
sun and beach, walking, open air sports, archaeology, culture,
gastronomy, music, theatre and many other possibilities all
within reach. Alcudia itself is cosmopolitan and exercises
an important leadership function on the Island, open to Europe
and the rest of the world, without forgetting its own identity.
The visitor sees Alcudia open to the new challenges of the
future, but also as a town of contrasts where the past, present
and future merge together as one. Its geographic location,
in an incomparable framework, means that man throughout history
has used it for his settlements. Its native disposition and
history have been key elements in the development of the modern
infrastructure of tourism. The conservation and protection
of its culture and heritage have been especially catered for.
Alcudia itself, with more than 14.500 inhabitants, constructed
beside the ruins of the city of Pol.léntia, has been
endowed with the beauty of nature and by the history and art
that distinguish it. Archaeology and modern hotels have adapted
perfectly to a naturally incomparable space that has seen
the spectacular passing of history.
